I work either on a fixed project fee (best when the scope is clear) or a weekly/monthly retainer (best for ongoing product work). After a short discovery call I send a written proposal with deliverables, timeline, and cost — no surprises later.
A focused piece — a key flow redesign or a design-system foundation — usually runs 4–8 weeks. Larger platform redesigns or ongoing product partnerships are scoped in monthly cycles. I'll always give you a realistic timeline up front and flag risks early rather than at the deadline.
