Namaste, I'm Abhijit Patil — Pune, India · working with teams worldwide

I design products people trust

I turn complex enterprise problems into experiences that feel effortless — SaaS platforms, AI-powered products, and design systems used by thousands of people across the USA, UK, Australia and beyond. Lately, AI is my co-pilot. Empathy is still the engine.

Stadium emergencies, answered in seconds

When something goes wrong in front of 60,000 fans, seconds decide outcomes. I designed a stadium alert system — a command console plus a responder app — that broadcasts alerts across push, email and SMS, tracks live safety check-ins, and triages every incident by severity so critical events are acknowledged and resolved fast.

Support that shows up before the relapse

Recovery doesn't fail in the therapist's office — it fails alone, at midnight. I designed a mobile app that recognizes high-risk moments and responds in real time with personalized coping tools, grounding exercises, and one-tap access to people who can help — support that arrives when it's needed most.

Turning wanderlust into a booked trip

Voyra is a travel app concept that makes planning feel like daydreaming. An AI concierge surfaces the right place at the right price, rich destination guides answer "is this me?" at a glance, and day-by-day tours sit one tap from booked — a calm path from inspiration to itinerary.

Process

How a project moves through my desk.

strategy → research → design → ship

01 / understand

Understand the business

Stakeholder interviews, analytics, support tickets. I map the problem as it actually is — and tie every design decision to a measurable outcome.

02 / research

Research with real users

Flows pressure-tested against worst-case scenarios and edge cases. Accessibility and WCAG are in from sketch one, not bolted on at the end.

03 / design

Design with AI as co-pilot

High-fidelity screens built on tokens from day one. AI accelerates the iteration loop — I explore ten directions in the time one used to take.

04 / ship

Ship with engineers

Specs, annotated edge cases, and working front-end prototypes. Handoff is a conversation over a diff, not a 40-page PDF.

Great design for complex software isn't decoration — it's operational clarity. My job is to make the right action obvious, for thousands of users, every single day.

I'm a Product Design leader working across enterprise SaaS, AI-powered products, web and mobile experiences, and scalable design systems. I've led large-scale redesigns, established design systems from scratch, and introduced AI-driven product experiences serving customers in the USA, UK, Australia and global markets.

I work at the intersection of design and engineering — combining product strategy, UX research, design operations and AI-assisted workflows so organizations build products that scale faster and deliver measurable outcomes.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

working together

How much does a project cost?

Every engagement is scoped to its goals, so there's no one-size price. I work either on a fixed project fee (best when the scope is clear) or a weekly/monthly retainer (best for ongoing product work). After a short discovery call I send a written proposal with deliverables, timeline, and cost — no surprises later.

How long does a typical engagement take?

A focused piece — a key flow redesign or a design-system foundation — usually runs 4–8 weeks. Larger platform redesigns or ongoing product partnerships are scoped in monthly cycles. I'll always give you a realistic timeline up front and flag risks early rather than at the deadline.

Do you work remotely across time zones?

Yes. I'm based in Pune, India and have shipped with teams across the USA, UK, and Australia. I keep overlap hours for live collaboration, work async the rest of the day with clear written updates, and adapt to your tools — Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop and Illustrator for design, plus Claude, Cursor, Figma Agents and Figma Make for design engineering.
